The kitchen is symbolic of wealth and abundance in the home - so keep it clean and organized.

Positive or good chi in the kitchen is a must, considering that it is symbolic of wealth and abundance in the home. How could one improve the kitchen's feng shui vibes? Here are a few tips.

Clean the kitchen. The kitchen should be clean and clutter-free. Its cupboards and drawers should be tidy and organized. Although kitchen gadgets are a must, keep them from view unless used as they disturb the flow of positive chi (or energy).

Clean the refrigerator. It's not only hygienic, but cleaning the refrigerator is also a must for good chi in the kitchen. Indeed, a sparkling refrigerator is a must as it serves as a receptacle for good chi. As such, be sure to stock it with food and throw away food items that are six months old or older.

Choose fresh. Food that is. processed foods have little or no chi to offer humans by way of nourishment. Fresh fruits and veggies are good sources of nourishment and chi. If possible place a bowlful of fruits on the kitchen table.

Regarding the stove. The stove should have a wall at its back to provide support. also, it is best to use a stove (if possible) that is powered by natural gas instead of electricity and petroleum. Like the kitchen overall and the refrigerator, the stove should likewise be clean. A special emphasis should be placed on the cleanliness of the stove top.

Pots and pans. Pots and pans shouldn't be left out in the open when not in use. Also, try to keep them clean and even sparkling. Leftover food should immediately be placed in containers and kept in storage. Never, ever leave pots and pans with food residue out in the open for vermin to consume. This is bad chi.

Plumbing. This is one of the most important aspects of a kitchen that should not be ignored. The plumbing is symbolic of wealth (it holds and distributes water), and extra care and maintenance should be made in keeping it in tiptop shape and condition. It is best to clean pipes once a month with baking soda and vinegar.

When Roasting&

  • Time the roast. This would ensure that the roast is properly cooked before serving.
  • Wipe do not wash the meat for roasting.
  • If you want a crisp roast, sprinkle oil and salt on the skin of the pork prior to roasting
  • Do not skewer a roasting meat if you want to turn it. This would make the roast look unsightly as it would break the skin. Use two blunt instruments instead.
  • Remember that meat cooked with the bones will always be tastier.
