1 packe sweet biscuits (e.g. digestive or wheatmeal biscuits)
3 tbsps. Cocoa powder, sifted
extra cocoa powder, for rolling
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 to 3 tbsps. Rum
Finely crush the biscuits in a food processor or alternatively, by crushing with a rolling pin.
Add cocoa powder, sweetened condensed milk and rum to crushed biscuits. Combine well.
Place the resulting mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
To prepare the rum balls: Take a spoonful of the mixture and roll using the hands to form a small ball.
Roll in the extra cocoa powder.
Place in a tray and put in the freezer.
Once frozen, put in a container and keep in the refrigerator until serving time.
Rum balls can last for several weeks.
