Barbecued Lemon Chicken



1 pc. roasting chicken
1/3 cup corn oil
1/4 – 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. sweet basil, crushed
1 tsp. thyme, crushed



Step 1

Cut chicken into serving pieces. Clean well, place in a shallow pan. Combine remaining ingredients in a jar. Cover and shake well to blend.

Step 2

Pour over chicken and put in a sealed container. Marinate overnight in refrigerator, turning chicken pieces occasionally. Drain and remove to room temperature 1 hour before grilling.
