Blazin Brisket-Que



3 k. Monterey Beef Brisket, whole
¼ cup Zesty BBQ Sauce or Herbed BBQ Sauce
For the Zesty Sassy BBQ Sauce:

½ cup store-bought barbecue sauce
¼ cup steack sauce
¼ cup San Miguel Pale Pilsen
¼ cup Purefoods Supremo Cane Vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsps. garlic, chopped
1 tbsp. salt
½ tbsp. black pepper
2 tbsps. onion, chopped
½ tbsp. dried basil
½ tbsp. dried dried oregano
1 tbsp. hot sauce
½ tsp. curry powder
1 tbsp. pepper flakes
4 tbsps. brown sugar

For the herby-licious BBQ sauce:

4 tbsps. Magnolia Nutri-oil
6 tbsps. honey
¼ cup Purefoods Supremo Cane Vinegar
¼ tbsp. dried basil
¼ tbsp. dried thyme
¼ tbsp. dried Marjoram
1 pc. bayleaf, crumbled
pinch of sage
pinch of dried rosemary
2 tsps. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 cup tomato catsup


Step 1

Preheat oven at 150ºC.

Step 2

Line a baking tray with aluminum foil.

Step 3

Place beef brisket on the lined tray then season with choice of BBQ spiced sauce on all sides. Cover with another sheet of aluminum foil.

Step 4

Seal the edges making sure that the steam will be enclosed inside the pouch. Bake for 6 hours or until tender. Remove foil cover and smother with barbecue-spiced sauce just before slicing.

Step 5

To make the Zesty Sassy BBQ sauce or Herby-Licious BBQ Sauce: Combine all ingredients of the sauce and let stand for 1 hour using. Makes about 2 cups.
