Caramel Popcorn



½ cup popcorn
kernels or 6 popped pop corn
½ cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsps. light corn syrup
¼ cup unsalted butter
¼ tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
bake paper


Step 1

Cook the popcorn following package directions. Remove unpopped kernels. Set aside. Pre-heat oven to 200ºF.

Step 2

In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until mixture turns golden in color, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sifted baking soda until foamy. Line a baking sheet with bake paper. Arrange popcorn on the pan.

Step 3

Pour syrup over the popcorn and toss to coat evenly. Bake in the oven for 1 hour and toss the popcorn lightly every 15 minutes. Cool popcorn before serving. Store covered.
