Chicken Wings with Lee Kum Kee Chili Garlic Sauce

For the chicken:

1 k. chicken wings, cut each into 2 pieces
1/3 cup cooking oil
1 tbsp. Lee Kum Kee Chili Garlic Sauce
1 tbsp. ginger, finely chopped 1/2 cup spring onions, chopped
2 tbsps. Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
2 cups water

For thickening:


2 tbsps. AA cassava (tapioca) starch, mix with 1/4 cup water &
1 tsp. Lee Kum Kee Sesame Oil

For garnish:


Romaine lettuce leaves

Method

Step 1

Line a serving platter with fresh Romaine lettuce leaves. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in wok.

Step 3

Add wings, cover and cook 3 minutes per side.

Step 4

Remove cover and push wings to side of wok.

Step 5

Add chili garlic sauce, ginger and spring onions.

Step 6

Stir awhile.

Step 7

Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar and water. Mix well.

Step 8

let boil then cover.

Step 9

Reduce to simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.

Step 10

Thicken with starch mixture.

Step 11

Transfer to lettuce-lined platter.
