Chicken With Bagoong2018-02-07
1 k. chicken
1 small unripe papaya, sliced
chili pepper leaves (dahon ng sili)
fish bagoong, strained to remove impurities
1 cup chicken broth
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 small onion, sliced
1 thumb-size ginger
4 cups water
Heat oil in a pan and saute the garlic, onion, ginger and chicken for 5 minutes. Add the water and chicken for 5 minutes. Add the water and chicken broth; allow to boil.
When the chicken is tender add the papaya and allow to boil some more. Add the chili pepper leaves. Serve hot.
