Club Sandwich Manila Hotel



500 gms. Whole wheat bread, preferably cylindrical in shape
30 gms. Lettuce (Baguio or Romaine)
2 tbsps. Mayonnaise
1 tomato, sliced
1 chicken breast, poached or roasted
3 to 4 rashers (strips) bacon, cooked
1 egg, boiled then sliced

For the sidings, your choice of the following:

fruit cubes
chicken pate
French fries
potato chips


Step 1

Cut the top of the cylinder-shaped bread; set aside.

Step 2

Using a sharp-pointed knife, cut the bread loose from the crust, at least 1/2" from the bottom and 1/2" from the sides.

Step 3

Lift the loosened bread and cut into 3 slices and toast. Set aside.

Step 4

Cut the washed lettuce into strips and mix with the mayonnaise.

Step 5

To assemble the sandwich: Divide the lettuce and mayonnaise mixes on top of three bread slices. Top with tomato slices, bacon strips, egg slices and chicken slices. Top with bread slices. Secure with toothpicks. Return to the hollowed bread crust. Place the sliced top back at an angle or to completely cover the sandwiches within. Serve with sidings of your choice.
