Cocido Filipino

1 k. Swift Chicken Sariwanok thighs, thoroughly cleaned
4 slices Swift Sweet Ham, cut into 1-½” -strips
1 pc. chorizo de bilbao, sliced diagonally
1 med. cabbage, cut into 4 to 6 slices
2 med. potatoes, quartered
6 pcs. saba bananas, sliced diagonally then fried
2 tbsps. cooking oil
1 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 (500 gms.) Fiesta Spaghetti Sauce, Sweet Blend
1 can garbanzos, drained
salt & pepper to taste


Step 1

In a large saucepan, boil the chicken and simmer with ham and chorizos until tender. Remove meat from pan and use meat stock to boil potatoes and cabbage.

Step 2

In hot oil, saute garlic and onion. Add Fiesta Spaghetti Sauce. Add meats and just enough broth to cover. Add garbanzos, fried bananas and other cooked vegetables.

Step 3

Simmer for 5 minutes or until vegetables are done. Correct seasonings, if desired. Arrange in a serving dish with the meat on one side and the vegetables on the other side. Garnish as desired and serve with fish sauce.
