Genghis Khan’s Spicy Sliced Beef



2 cups beef tenderloin, sliced

For the marinade:

3 tbsps. Garlic, minced
6 tbsps. Soy sauce
4-½ tbsps. Light soy sauce
1 tbsp. lemon lime soda
3 tbsps. Sesame seeds
7-½ tbsps. White sugar
6 tbsps. Corn syrup
2 tbsps. chili-garlic paste
90 gms. abalone mushrooms, chopped (or 45 gms. shiitake mushrooms & 45 gms. oyster mushrooms)
6 tbsps. mirin
¼ tsp. salt

For the sidings:

1 tbsp. oil
1 pc. onion, rings
5 cloves garlic, sliced
¼ cup beansprouts
½ pc. cucumber, cut into 2″ -sticks
2 stalks onion leeks
1 pc. carrot, cut into 2″-sticks


Step 1

Mix all ingredients of the marinade; set aside. Sliced beef tenderloin thinly (About ½ cm.).

Step 2

Arrange beef slices in a plate. Top with marinade. Saute onion and garlic in oil; set aside in the pan.

Step 3

Grill beef slices to preferred doneness in the same pan. Arrange beef in a plate and top with onion and garlic. Serve with the other prepared vegetables.
