Japanese Shoyu

Ingredients:

5 tbsps. Soy sauce
3 tbsps. Sake
½ tsp. salt
pepper to taste
sesame oil
4 balls noodles
8 pcs. Chinese pork ham
4 pcs. Naruto (steamed fish paste cake), sliced
½ bunch spinach
½ sheet nori
½ green onion
shinakichu (Chinese flavored bamboo shoots)
prepared stock
Special Mr. Ube Noodles

 

Method

Step 1

To prepare the toppings: Wash spinach and place in a pot. Allow to boil. Remove the spinach and slice; set aside. Cut the nori sheets into desired quarter size; set aside. Slice the green onion thinly, soak in water and dry with paper towel; set aside.

Step 2

To assemble: Heat the prepared soup stock, add the soy sauce, sake, salt, pepper and sesame oil. Meanwhile boil some water and cook the noodles. Place the noodles in servng bowls. Add soup followed by the pork ham, naruto, spinach, shinakuchi and nori on top. Season with pepper and garnish with green onion.
