1 pc. Deboned boneless bangus (about 1 k.)
salt & pepper to season
For the sauce:
2 pcs. Big white onions, sliced into rings
1/3 cup calamansi juice
1/3 cup soy sauce
¼ cup water
¼ tsp. Knorr liquid seasoning
Season the fish (meat portion) with salt and pepper.
Pan-fry "butterfly" style in hot oil until golden and crispy (about 10 to 15 minutes).
To prepare the sauce: Fry the onion rings in some oil for around 15 minutes. Add the calamansi, soy sauce, water and liquid seasoning. Once mixture boils, remove from heat. When fish is cooked, place on the fish platter. Pour the sauce on top and sides of the fish. Place some of the onion rings over the fish.
