Khao Niew Mamuang (Sticky Rice with Mango)



½ cup glutinous rice
3/4 cup thick coconut milk
¼ cup sugar syrup
pinch of salt
2 fresh mangoes


Step 1

Soak the rice for at least 12 hours then cook in a steamer and allow to cool. Combine the coconut milk, syrup and salt.

Step 2

Peel the mangoes and cut the flesh into small chunks. To serve: spoon a little rice into the bottom of individual serving dishes, add the mango and pour the coconut milk mixture on top.
