Ma Po Tofu With Tuna

2 tbsps. Cooking oil
2 tbsps. Shallots, chopped
2 tsps. Garlic, chopped
1 tsp. ginger, minced
1 tbsp. chili bean paste
1 tbsp. salted black beans, mashed
2 (180 mgs.) can Century Tuna Flakes Hot & Spicy, drained
3/4 cup chicken stock or broth
1 tbsp. rice wine
1 tbsp. oyster rice
1 tbsp. hoisin sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cream Cornstarch
2 cups soft tofu cubes
2 tbsps. spring onions, chopped


Step 1

Heat cooking oil in a Tefal saute pan.

Step 2

Saute shallots, galric and ginger.

Step 3

Add chili bean paste, black beans and tuna.

Step 4

Meanwhile, mix together stock, rice wine, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar and cornstarch.

Step 5

Pour into sauteed tuna.

Step 6

When sauce becomes thick, stir in tofu.

Step 7

Allow to simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and serve on a plate topped with spring onions.
