Pinoy-Style Fried Chicken



½ k. chicken, cut into serving pieces
3 cups water
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup flour
¼ cup calamansi juice
2 tbsps. Fish sauce
¼ tsp. freshly-cracked pepper corn
cooking oil



Step 1

Mix the calamansi juice and fish sauce. Add the chicken, place in a pot and allow to boil. Remove and place in a container; sprinkle with pepper; set aside.

Step 2

Mix the egg and flour. Dredge the chicken pieces and deep-fry.
