Roast Beef with Creamy Mushroom Sauce



For the base crumbs:

1 (½ k.) beef shoulder (kalitiran), whole
¼ cup Maggi Oyster Sauce
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 liters water
½ cup soy sauce
1 (8 gms.) Maggi Magic Sarap


For the creamy mushroom sauce:

1 can instant cream of mushroom soup
2 cups hot water
2 cups broth from tenderized beef
1 cup button mushrooms, sliced



Step 1

Rub beef with Maggi Oyster Sauce, salt and pepper. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2

Boil prepared beef in water, soy sauce and Maggi Magic Sarap for about 2 hours or until tender, adding more water if necessary. Transfer cooked beef in a platter and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.

Step 3

Discard remaining broth after saving 2 cups. Combine canned cream of mushroom soup, broth and mushroom in a small pan.

Step 4

Cook while continuously stirring over low heat until slightly thick. Serve sauce on the side or on top of sliced roast.
