Swift Potato Ham Soup2017-11-23
2 cups Swift Festival Ham
2 cups potatoes, peeled & diced
2 cups water
½ cup onion, diced
1 cup celery, diced
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
10 tbsps. flour
3 cups Selecta Moo Fresh Milk
4 tbsps. White King Butter Fresh Margarine
½ cup chicken broth or
1 pc. chicken broth cube
Combine potatoes, water, onion, celery, salt and pepper in a large saucepan.
Simmer until vegetables are tender.
In a bowl, combine flour and one cup of Selecta Moo Fresh Milk; stirring to blend well.
Add flour/milk mixture, White King Butter Fresh Margarine, chicken broth, Swift Festival Ham and remaining milk to vegetables.
Simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Serve with whole wheat bread or bread sticks. Note: Cooling soup slightly before serving will thicken the soup's consistency.
