White Sauce (Pizza Base)



4 tbsps. Butter
4 tbsps. Gold Medal
All Purpose Flour
2 cups milk
1 cup cheese, grated
dash of white pepper
1/2 tsp. salt



Step 1

Heat butter on top of double boiler or heavy-bottomed pan.

Step 2

Add flour and stir until smooth.

Step 3

Add milk slowly, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Add in cheese.

Step 4

Season to taste. Cook until thick. Set aside.

Step 5

Use as a base for fish and other seafoods (e.g. salmon, tinapa, anchovies, shrimps, oysters etc.) Note: Use fresh herbs for garnish: Dill, basil, tarragon, oregano etc. Bread base may be crosstini, melba toast, baguette, French bread, wheat bread, pandesal, store-bought pizza dough, soft tortilla, pita etc.
